Last February, after turning 65, with all my arthritis andback issues, I needed to be inspired to move forward, and to enjoy my life! Kendra Burrows, who I’ve known for 6 years, was getting more and more excited about her dreams as a yoga instructor. She swept me up in her enthusiasm, and positive outlook! At the beginning, I couldn’t kneel, my shoulders, and back were stiff, and I had scary Vertigo. She kept encouraging and inspiring me, to keep trying. After joining her Virtual Classes to start my days, I gradually could do more and more, with little to no pain! Fast forward 8 months, I am in a happy, pain free place, where I can keep up with my grandchildren, play golf, and I just recently returned from a 5 week National park roadtrip, and was able to hike in the Canyons, Kayak, Climb the Rocky Mountains, basically, anything I wanted to accomplish. I will always be following Kendra, and her journey to enlightenment, and mine, for the rest of my life!

I went to yoga with the preconceived notion that I could only do a handful of moves and would likely not stick with it. After my first class I knew that I was wrong, at least about sticking to it. Kendra Burrows, my instructor and long time friend, brought out this desire in me to explore further and challenge myself to try new things, even if I thought I couldn’t accomplish them. I have since started creating, and crushing, challenges for myself to get certain moves I never thought would be possible. From my first bind to my first handstand, Kendra has supported me and encouraged me in every way a person could. Since I started this journey not only am I feeling better health wise, but I have made strides mentally that I could have only dreamed of.
